Not sure if this is the right spot to post this or not, but figured since it was exterior related.

I am wanting to get some kind of custom side stripe for my silverado. I was thinking about the hockey stripe but only find them for 03+ and doubt they would fit. Also thought about maybe something like on a 68 camaro ss, that goes across the nose and down the side...I was wondering if anyone knew of a place to get some custom made for my truck? I am wanting to go with a lime green stripe so it pops against my charcoal grey truck. thanks

Do you have any custom shops near you? Or maybe if you want to go the vinyl route, you could see if you have a signage company that does vehicle wraps for small businesses. I'm sure they could adapt their skills for a custom stripe. Keep searching, ask around at custom audio or parts shops. The tuner community, I guarantee, knows someone in your area who does vehicle graphics.

Lime green on charcoal gray? Really?

That reminds me of the movie 16 Candles. Grandpa was calling the police to report Long Duck Dong missing. He said to the dispatcher, "well let's see, he was wearing brown pants, red shoes, and an argyle sweater". Anyone remember the next line?

I would seriously reconsider that color combination. Have you actually seen it on something else...like a Ford Explorer?

I went to school for auto body and painting, so painting the stripe on isn't an issue. The only thing is that I don't have the down time or the place to paint it at the moment. I will be asking around at a few car shows that are happening in a week or so. Maybe I can find someone there that has some info. Thanks for the ideas of places to ask around.

Yes I have seen this color combo and I am wanting something different than most people...not sure what you meant by a Ford Explorer, but not haven't seen that. I had planned on two-toning my truck, charcoal on bottom and lime green on top, but can't paint whole truck at the moment, and decided to try and do something a little easier. There are several trucks like mine in town and want mine to be different.

was wondering if anyone might be able to photo-shop these two images. The truck pictured is not mine, I don't have any good side pics of mine, and I found some graphics for the 08+ Silverado I think might work out if I apply them different. Just seeing if anyone could help me out. If not, what are your opinions on the graphics I have pictured...

No thread hijacking, but you might have better luck in the photoshop forum.

I'd be interested in seeing as well.
