I have the digital climate control unit and after I turned my truck off last night i noticed i could still hear the blower running from outside the vehicle. Got back in a tried to turn the thing off and no go, still stuck on and blowing heat into the cabin. I can only control the vents, heat is stuck on and blower is stuck on. Had to disconnect the battery over night to see if that would do a reset on the system but nope, hooked the battery up this AM and the blower instantly came back on before i even got in and turned the truck on. Im thinking either a bad relay somewhere or maybe the control unit itself has gone bad, and ideas? TIA

On mine (automatic climate control also) the resistor failed. On these trucks, the blower resistor is a bad design from the factory. When they fail, it shorts to ground and always runs. The previous owner just pulled the under hood fuse and put it back in whenever he wanted AC. The resistor is fairly easy to access on the heater box under glove compartment. You have to pull the old one out and the retrofit unit requires 1 or 2 splices. It changes the current path so it isn't all routed through the resistor to prevent burn out. It isn't hard if you have basic vehicle electrical experience. I'm sure there is a Delco part but I grabbed this on and changed it in the LAS parking lot. Been working with no issues for a year. You will probably also have to do the HVAC relearn after.
