I am in the market for a 2007.5-13 body style truck with leather seats. I really want and need one that has the seat in the center that folds down into a console or up to make a seat. I have found several LTZ Trucks with leather and all i want but they all have the fixed console in the center with no seat..wondering if you could remove the console and replace it with a regular fold up seat from a regular LT truck? I know i would have to do away with the rear heat as its in the back of the console but no big deal..

Yes you can. Depending on your location I'm sure some one would be more than happy to trade you a jump seat for it. You could also retrofit the heater switches in the other one

Thanks! Do you know if the bolt holes are already in the ltz for the buddy seat to bolt right in and also the mounts for the seatbelt?

You have to remove both Driver and Passenger seats as the jump seat goes over the existing inner seat mount holes first so yes it will be ready to go. And the jumpseat seatbelts attach to the seat itself and will already come with a used seat if you trade.

I just put one in my truck last week but I went from a 2-cup to a 3-cup so cant answer anything else regarding a console.

EDIT: There will also be a plug stowed under the carpet in the center for the 12v accessory plug that you will need. My W/T even had it there and it wasn't used from the factory for my truck.

Swapping the middle seat and/or the console is easy as a pie. Pretty sure, though, that if you remove the LTZ console, it will leave a weird hole in the dash. Doing the same to the LT1 console will not leave anything.

With the LTZ dash in a Silverado or the SLT in a Sierra, this is not a good option. I had wanted a center jump seat in mine, but have the upscale SLT type dash in my All Terrain. The problem with trying to put a jump seat in these...is that the dash configuration has a much larger protrusion into where feet would go for that center position and it will not be very comfortable at all.

Here is the standard truck dash...much more room in the center area for feet...legs:

Here is the LTZ or SLT dash...see how far the dash comes into that center area?

If it is a standard dash with a center console...than swapping to a jump seat is much more practical.

ALL of the LTZ's will have that dash.

My LTZ (2017) has the jump seat and a different kind of standard dash. It doesn't protrude but it's not flat either. I'll upload a photo after my camera charges up. My wife likes to sit by me and wouldn't get one with the console. It might be a less common option for a LTZ but I don't know that for a fact.

I've got a 2007.5 SLT that I'd like to swap a center seat into to carry all my kids. I'm ok with the reduced leg room. But for a bit of a noob, how do I know what seats will fit my truck? I look at used ones on Ebay and I'm not sure they'll fit or not. I'd appreciate any help in that regard.

Same year range will fit. 07-13 gmt900 or nnbs truck center console. Most will be cloth though. They do have aftermarket leather for it I think bu unsure of separate kit for that seal only.
