I just obtained an OEM rear backup camera pulled from a salvage 2012 Silverado, and would like to install this in my 2013 Sierra SLE, and use the rear view mirror monitor. I have looked everywhere for a diagram to identify the six wires that go to this unit.

I have red, yellow, white wires going to one connector, and grey, black, and tan wires in another bunch. I am also curious if this OEM Panasonic camera is a 6 volt unit like those in the Tundras. Has anyone tied these factory units into a RCA connector? My truck has the dark blue and white wires present at the existing onstar mirror.

That's correct I drew my 12v from circuit 239 pink wire and connected it to circuit 38 dark blue wire with a switch at the junction block left I/P connector X1 pins A4 and p1.

The junction block I/P left is located left of the brake pedal. Disconnect the battery and remove the junction block(don't worry all the wires only go back in one way).On the back side there are 2 big connectors the gray one is the X1.Locate the dark blue wire there is only one one the connector it's in one of the corners. The pink wire I used is located caddy corner and one pin over.Go 2-3 inches up the wires and add scotch locks, wires and your switch, reassemble and test operation.

Here is a video of the operation.
I hate to dig this up after over a year, but do you have any pictures of where you tapped for power and you spliced in with your switch? Would help a lot in setting this up for myself. Thanks.
