Hello everyone,

I have enjoyed driving my 2018 Chevy Texas Edition for years.
Purchased it brand new so I thought I had a great truck until the transmission
started slipping.
What a deep disappointment.
I know I can't be the only one.
If you are out there, please contact the manufacture.

Welcome to the site.

No, you're not the only one with transmission problems. Yours is 7 years old. Stuff happens.

What engine? What transmission? How many miles are on it? Is the truck modified/lifted/taller tires? Do you tow with it? Have you ever changed the trans fluid? Have you ever installed the lower temp trans thermostat?

Based on the limited info provided, I have to believe this only affects Texas Edition trucks

So, what is it about transmissions? Owners are obsessed with motor oil changes every 3,000 (maybe 5,000) miles but when it comes to the transmission, it's OK to ignore it and complain when if developes problems.
Did you ever replace the ATF? If so, did you use the cheapest (like GM did) to save a $?

Maintenance schedule says replace ATF at 45,000 miles for severe service. You would be wise to service it based on severe service as everything used to lube it was sourced from the lowest bidder. By warranting it for 5 yrs and 70,000 miles GM is saying roll the dice and see how long it lasts. WE want to sell you new one, that's our core business, selling new vehicles. The dealers business is repairing them for outrageous prices.

This kind of post always drive me crazy. Need way more info, especially your maintenance history and how the vehicle has been used, how many miles and what specific trans you have.
Transmissions of all manufacturers are wear items, just like manual clutches. Some people can last the lifetime of vehicle, some burn them out frequently

Same questions apply that were posted earlier in this thread. Yet no one wants to answer those questions.

Have the transmission rebuilt or buy a rebuilt unit. Motor on.
