Have a new 2023 Silverado 1500, radio has gone bad. Was replaced by the dealership once before. Stiil stops working. Can see what's on the screen but radio volume or other features will not work.

I have a co-worker who has the 2023 sierra, same issue with his radio.

Anyone out there having this issue. Seems GMC/Chevy isn't doing anything to fix this.

Thank you.
Mine goes silent about every 10th time I start it. Nothing works at all, the radio or the phone but the screen lights up normally. If I shut the truck off for at least 3 minutes and restart it everything comes back up and works perfectly. It’s annoying for sure.

If your truck is a 2023, the update listed above should fix it.

Just bought my 2023 Seirra 1500 AT4 4x4 last week. Radio worked great until I sign up on Onstar.. Now only Sirius XM works.. This really sucks.. Service manager was clueless. I am thinking he has already had some come back in with same problem and they are lying.

I have found that on occasion, switching the radio source from say XM to AM or FM sometimes fixes the sound. Also, sometimes the chimes and dings from the dash works but the radio does not. I have also noticed sometimes the fancy (colorful) splash screen comes on the dash when I get in the truck. Other times I get a Chevy bowtie on the center screen. This is all signs of programming and not wiring. I also think the dealers are handcuffed until Google fixes all of this. It is possible that it is a combination of options on each truck confusing the issue. I have the ability to get to the head mechanic at my dealership and he tells me that when the mechanic hooks up to the GM software, all he can do is go to the infotainment section of the software and download updates the system claims to be available for your vehicle. I hear that updates are refreshed about once a month. He advised to ask for checking for updates every time I have the oil changed.

3-1/2 months having mine, radio did it's first hic-up with no sound. Read @RedSLEd post number #12, tried when i got in driveway and it worked. Hope it doesn't become a daily issue.
Thanks Red, you have the smarts!!

Smarts? I don't know about that LOL. But I occasionally stumble upon something that might help. Glad it helped in your case.

A new issue has occurred on mine over the past couple of days. The volume automatically lowers by a few decibels then increases to original setting.
