On my 2006 Silverado, I just swapped out the 4.8L engine and replaced with a 5.3L. My question is, do i have to "flash" the computer? The truck is running fine and I have felt a slight increase in power. The dealer says as long as it's running good and the engine light is not on, then "flashng" is not required. I've heard that "flashing" will reset the tuning for the bigger engine. Anybody have any thoughts on this?
