4" CST lift on 2013 GMC Sierra ecss

Thought I would add some pictures of my Sierra after installing the 4" CST lift. I had a 2" level on my truck since last Fall and wanted a little more height.
I looked at all the options as far as 4" lifts go and decided on the CST. I wanted a full drop kit to keep away from the bad angles and rougher rides the cheaper kits have. The CST kit keeps factory track width and requires no CV spacers, which in return means no wheel spacers in the rear.
I didn't want a big lift, just a more aggressive stance to the truck and this lift did what I was looking for.
For tires, I'm running a 295/55/20 Toyo Open Country A/T II tire with 20x9 0 offset wheels.

I installed the lift myself, started on Sunday morning and finished it on Monday. I installed the Bilstein adj. front struts and the Bilstein rear struts for up to 6" lift. I set the fronts to the lowest setting and used the 3" block included with the kit in the rear. I netted just over 4" of height over stock. My fender measurements are nearly 41 1/2 " front and 42" rear.
My front suspension angles are as good or better then stock. I can easily get another 1" or 2 by raising the Bisteins or using a bottom spacer. So far I'm very happy with how it turned out. The ride is just a little firmer then stock which I attribute to the bilsteins and the heavier tires.
Next thing will be getting a Tune and I'll be pretty much done.

Looks nice! Do you have to jump in? I notice you don't have any running boards!

No I don't have to jump in, maybe just a little hop. :) I'm getting just a slight rub on the front at full lock. I'll probably raise the Bilsteins a notch to take car of it.

how much did this kit cost you ??? i want to get this kit
I researched for a month all the available options for 4" lifts. I decided on the CST kit after reading a review over at GM full Size Forums
done by a member there. There are cheaper options, but after you add in the upgrades to the other kits it's pretty much a wash.
The CST kit comes with new upper control arms and ball joints.
The CST steering knuckles are designed to not increase the front track width, which means no rear wheel spacers. All the other kits increased
front track width.
I ordered my kit from Performance Lifts, $2150.00 plus $140.00 for the rear Bilstein 0"-4" shocks. I highly recommend them, there customer service
is great, all questions answered and lift shipped out and delivered in 5 days from California.
I've never installed a lift before and the instructions were very complete and I had no trouble doing it myself.
So far I'm super happy with it. The ride is great, just a little firmer then stock. I contribute that to replacing my stock struts with the Bilsteins and the
heavier rated tires.

Truck looks AWESOME!! I love the wheels
Thanks!
My first choice for wheels were Hostile's but they were backordered everywhere. I settled for these but may end up selling them later if I can get
the one's I really wanted.

Hey Thanks Tracy,
I put the lift on at 16K miles and I have 23K miles now without any issues. I know I paid more then what some people pay for 6" and larger lifts but I am
super happy how it turned out. I have just a couple more things I may do, I may re gear to 4.10, I had that priced out and I want to add AMP steps.
How she sets right now.

Hi Nate,

The wheels are 20x9 0' offset with 5" backspacing. I originally wanted 20x10 Hostile Zombies but they were back ordered. I plan
to sell these in the Spring and get some 20x10 Gear Big Blocks.
Here's a little better pic showing the stance with the 20x9's.

That's exactly what I want. The problem I have is I don't want to tackle this myself and I don't know where to go.
Hi Brian,
Do you have access to a garage and a friend with some mechanical knowledge? I did mine in my shop on jack stands, never did a lift before but I've worked on cars and trucks most of my life. The instructions are pretty clear and the hardest part was getting the front differential back up off the ground by myself. I used to floor jacks to lift it, so that worked out pretty good. Total time I had into it was about 10 hours taking my time.

If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, I would call around and get some prices on installing it. I just didn't want to spend the extra money having it done and I had the free time last Winter.
Let me know if you have any questions.
