So I recently bought a 2001 gmc sierra and it has no reverse I can put it in gear and it’s just a neutral I’ve scanned the truck and no shift solenoid or trans codes pop up what could the issue be?

350k miles, it's likely due for a rebuild, definitely if it hasn't been before, probably if it's been rebuilt once before. You got your money's worth out of the trans if it hasn't been done before.
Put a pressure gauge on it to check the internal line pressure. Reverse typically calls for the highest operating pressure of any 4L60E gear at idle and I will predict that yours will be low. At that mileage, your pump in the front of the transmission is probably worn out.
That transmission owes you nothing. Get it rebuilt.
Likely worn/hardended sealing rings on the low rev piston caused your low rev clutches to burn. Yank it out for overhaul. If you have 350k miles on that unit, that's incredible. Even half that is outstanding, assuming the trans was rebuilt or replaced around 150-200ish thousand miles.
