6.2L Headers Brand/ Long vs. Short

So I'm about to invest some money into my newly purchased 6.2L Ext. Cab Sierra, problem is I cant find any long tube headers that are compatable with it, only shorts. To be honest I want the deeper sound that comes with the long tubes but cant find any that match up for a 6.2 sierra. Also what brands are we recommending? :?:

Spend the money and get a nice set of Kooks. They'll last the lifetime of the truck unlike some of the cheaper guys out there.

Very happy with my Kooks 1-7/8" w/ catted Y-pipe setup. Bolts directly to the factory 3.5" cat-back and sounds fantastic. No drone and not obnoxiously loud.

Kooks and OBX make long tubes for the 6.2
Remember a tune will be needed to get the most out of them.
So am I gonna need like a custom tune or will a "on the fly" tuner work ok

IMO a custom tune, done in person is the only way to go. Cost is about the same as a mail order, cheaper in some cases. Search around locally for a performance or speed shop and they can hook you up.

Yeah only few shops I know locally are Danville Performance and Fleece Performance (I used to have a Duramax so I know all the diesel shops around), but I think Danville does a little bit of everything.

I ended up taking a video the other day of my exhaust setup at start up and idle, before I do my cam swap.

Sounds great, wish you would have stepped on it a couple times to hear it growl.
