If it comes back....check into replacing the blend door actuators. Very common failure on that model....and older ones too.

The good thing is the drivers actuator is a breeze, the passengers, however is another story. Drivers under the hush panel, the passenger side one is buried behind the radio. I think they built the entire truck around it! I was able to recalibrate mine with a cycle similar to the youtube link you provided. It saves a lot of skinned knuckles for sure.
