Curious if anyone has tried this brand or has any comments about these type of lights? I've been considering one of these with all the unattentive and distracted drivers in our area. Plus my truck is all blacked out.

Also curious if anyone has mounted one of these other than shown? I was thinking if you mounted it on the bottom side of the bumper(facing down) if you'd get the same effect shining at the road? I think it might look cool? Just an idea..

This must be there newer updated model.

There older blade model light you had to hardwire in the the reverse wire and it didn't have a strobe

I read it all and I didn't see anything bout having to hardwire in the reverse and I'm wondering how exactly there strobe function works. I'm curious now.

I put a tailgate bar from Putco on my '13 over ten years ago. I wired it only as a brake light, no running light or turn signals. Still working just fine. It's covered when snow piles-up on the bumper. I see a few trucks with them from time to time.

I've had a few of the cheaper ones, they always seem to get moisture in them and short out. The one on my 93 has been on there for years but the only time it sees water is when its getting washed. I believe I sealed the ends with silicone as well.

The one on my 21 lasted about a year before it got moisture in it. I noticed it when I hit the brakes one day and the reverse camera came on.

I'm going to be looking at putting one of these on my next truck.

My truck just got totalled by a commercial flatbed truck that lost control and hit me when parked on the shoulder... so I'm wanting a bit more visibility for next time, so hopefully there won't be a next time...

I got the putco one as well. Haven’t installed yet; trying to figure out if I can finnagle my way without having to take the tailgate out.
It’s a little pricey than the other stuff you see on amazon etc, but reviews show it’s a quality product. as others have mentioned, once you loose some leds it starts to look crappy.

They were kinda cool in the early 2000s.

I had a Bully brand installed on my 16, and it lasted 3 years before the controller went bad. Auto Trim near Farmington Missouri replaced it free of charge. I love it, helps to back up at night into dark areas. It is running lights, turn signals, brake and backup lighting. I paid installed around $300.
