2005 Silverado 3500 4wd dually …. Bad lower ball joint on drivers side. Truck is going in for tires and alignment and I‘m pretty sure the vendor will call to tell me the ball joints are gone and can’t complete the alignment. The uppers are tight and so is pass side lower. I‘m planning to replace the D/S lower ball joint myself. I’ve done the job on cars, Dodge and Ford trucks, just never a GM. All the videos show an upper control arm replacement when the lower ball joint is replaced. Is this necessary if the upper is ok?
