BDS worth the extra $600??

Ok i am still searching for a lift and have found that most people say that BDS is the top of the line lift. I have always liked using quality products and services. My question is, is BDS worth the extra $600 over Procomp? I have heard that the ride of the BDS is superior and its not as hard on parts. Is the ride, quality of the lift, and the added ease on the parts worth the extra $$.

Referring to the 6" lift and will be running 35" tires.

Thanks,

Bds makes a fantastic lift. I went with rancho and have been satisfied... Asking as you don't get their 9000 series shocks.

Procomp is the 4wheel parts brand. It is installed on a lot of vehicles, and imo isn't bad..

That said the installer at 4wp damaged both of my lower ball joints.... Second one finally gave out a few weeks ago... They wouldn't honor any warranty either... Said it is a part that wears out. after I finally got them to agree to replace, it would have taken a few days, and they wouldn't pay for a loaner... No thanks. I'll pay the $150 and do it myself.

I have the BDS 6" Kit, running the BDS AAL, as well as 35" tires. Ill say this. It rides great, handles awesome, and has taken everything I have thrown at it off road, albeit that hasn't been much lol. With BDS aside from the quality you are paying for the Customer service which is awesome ,as well as the warrantee...they have what I consider the best in the business. If you get the BDS kit I would suggest, upgrade to either FOX or Bilstein rear shocks with the kit. Now just have to decide if you want the coil over kit or not. Good luck and enjoy!

I love mine. If you go BDS, definitely consider the coil-over upgrade. I have the BDS ride-glide rear springs, Fox 2.0 rears, Fox 2.5 coil-overs in the front. It honestly rides beautifully. As Scrowell said, their "No Fine-Print Warranty" and "Factory Protection Plus" are huge factors in what BDS offers: http://bds-suspension.com/about#fpp

I have the 6" BDS basic kit w/ Fox 2.0 shocks with 35" MT tires. I can attest that my ride quality is improved over my stock set up and my Rough Country 2.5" Level/ Lift. I have taken my truck playing in some interesting areas and it has held up with me acting like a true dummy. And the warranty is the best in the business.

100% worth the money. I put the 6" on mine and don't have a single complaint. Ridden in a pro comp, fabtech, rxc. BDS puts them all to shame. And when you do it. Glide ride springs, fox shocks in back, and the coil over a in front. Just go for it. You will not be disappointed!

I'm getting ready to order my lift. I researched a lot of lifts. Narrowed it down to a few and BDS & Zone were the final 2. From what I have been told Zone kits are priced to compete with RC, but much better quality and better warranty. From what I'm reading and hearing BDS is hands down the best kit out there, but you pay for it. Both Zone & BDS have the "Factory Protection Plus 560Plus" warranty. But it does sound as though BDS in a no BS warranty. You break it they replace it, no questions asked.
With that said since I won't be going 4-wheeling and putting my truck to the test. So I decided to go with the Zone kit as it appears to be almost as good and it should hold up well as a daily driver. IMO if your going to be going off road a lot then it would be well worth the extra cash.

I agree with you but the major difference between zone and BDS is the way the lift is achieved. BDS replaces the struts and zone kits only use a strut spacer. The ride quality will be better with new struts than it will with a spacer. Also they are the same company, both are owned by Fox Shox.

I had 6" Pro Comp lift on my 2011 Sierra and currently have 6" BDS lift on my 2013 Sierra. The BDS is definitely worth the extra money. For starters, the angles on the cv joints are much better. I had a vibration in front when in 4wd with the pro comp which required me to purchase the pro comp front drive shaft to get rid of the vibration. That shaft was $450. The strut spacer looks like crap and the strut replacement on the BDS is a smother ride. The BDS is definitely a better lift as far as ride quality, comfort, and warranty. Only regret is I didn't upgrade the rear shocks.
