You are thinking the rear axle and enclosure is bent? If the axle would be bent at the outer bearing, would not the wheel wobble? If the vehicle was not this way when you first got it, doesn't seem likely that an "event" that would bend the axle would not be remembered.

Have you considered taking measurements from the top of the left and right wheels and compare to a measurement at the bottom? Are the wheels in fact not parallel?

If the axle or the rear end housing was bent, you would think there would be some driveability issues....

 

Optical illusion? If your wheel or axle was off that bad your truck wouldn't be drivable with the vibration

Yeah it wouldn't take much of a bent axle tube for the axle shafts to be binding really badly in the diff.

Something else is definitely at play there.

 

The truck might be leaning. Look up "chevy lean"

 

What wheels are you running? Rear spacers? Can you post a pic of the rear passenger side, just like the one you have of the driver's side?

 

Thanks for all the replies. I will add more pics and a height comparison of rear axle. My truck does have 2" Bora spacers and I'm running Nitto Ridge Grapplers, 35x11.5x20.

Can you park in the gas station pump area like your getting gas and see if you see the same thing? It's very flat there on the pad. Is it possible that parking along side of building in that manner where most pavement would be tapered for water run off is causing some suspension angle?

 

OK...here are few more pics and measurement comparison. The drivers side rear leans approximately 1 inch than passenger side.

Now I purchased this truck in Dec. 2015, with 36K miles. Now has 64K. I noticed the left rear tire angled more after it was lifted 4 inches. I had factory 20 x 9's wheels on Terra Grapplers, 285/55/20, and had the same issue.

Maybe previous owner hit something to bend axle or brake drum?

 

Well if it was bent then when it rotates 180 degrees when it would be leaning the opposite way

If it was bent outboard of the bearing/brake disc/drum wouldn't the wheel attached wobble like crazy?

 

Measure both blocks to make sure they are the same. Also look for broken leafs in the spring pack.

Looks like it just seems the axle is bent since the truck is leaning.

 

Funny thing wheel doesn't wobble. Camber appears to lean inward.

Have you tried putting a framing square on it?

 

Haven't tried the framing square. I plan to inspect the leaf springs, see if they're cracked. Will definitely visit a suspension specialist soon.
