Hello all! im looking for options for break kits (front) for my gen 3 sierra. What do you guys recommend? Wilwood? Brembo?

Which are easier to service? I have seen deals on GM Brembo kits.

Also.. what are the parts required for complete change (my shit is all rusty😅) also i have the drums in the back , not really interested in doing all the work to convert the back end .
So:
Rotors,
Pads,
Calipers
Break lines?
Drums (rear) really...interesting.

My old '01 1500 SWB 4 X 4 has factory 4-wheel disc's.

Would never have imagined your '09 wouldn't have had anything but disc all around.

Night and day compared with the old worn out brakes? Can she still stop from 60 to 0 in the same distance as the OE brakes?

Hello all! im
what type of racing are you doing that you need better brakes than whats on their now?
most poeple change them for looks only and never actually use those big brakes for what they were intended.

This is the same kit I'm installing this weekend. I've had them before on my 08, but took the truck into a mechanic to have him do some work and he damaged the heck out of a rotor, replaced them with OEs and I've been wanting to get them again. Rotors wound up warping from being overtorqued last time they got rotated (didn't realize the oil change would involve rotating my tires...) basically a whole bunch of me not paying attention to the mechanics doing work on my truck and trusting them more than I should have, so I'm not letting anyone touch it anymore if I don't have to.

I second the powerstop z36 kit. Installed on my ‘16 1500 after 130k on the stockers and it made a huge difference. Should have put these in wayyy sooner than I did. Pads and vented rotors. Purchased from summit with a coupon. I researched this a little and saw where you can adapt brake kits from CTs-v’s and/or vettes and camaros of certain years for a cheaper upgrade than buying the brembo kit new. Moved away from that path as trying to hunt for parts was a total PIA and and time suck and I don’t have any regrets with the z36 kit.

Good luck.
