Brand new brakes shake and start to smoke

I recently changed my brakes in my 2005 GMC sierra. I put new pads, rotors and calipers and on the next day not the high way the truck started shaking really bad, becoming progressively worse. Then the service 4WD light came on. After pulling over I could smell burning brakes and a considerable amount of smoke was coming off the calipers.
I have a good pedal and the only thing that I could think of is that the fluid isn't being pushed releasing the pistons. My next stop is replacing the rubber brake lines unless anyone has a better idea.

Did you bed in the new pads properly? Did you turn the rotors to clean off all the old pad material? What your discribing sounds like improperly bedded brake pads
No need to turn a brand new rotor.

Are you sure the caliper wasn't damaged while being pushed back in? I had a caliper "go bad" after a brake change once.

Might need to change that rotor now if it got too hot...
^my thinking as well, I had the same thing. Happen to me on my 2000 Silverado.

He shouldn't need to push the caliper in much if at all since he says he put new ones on. Did you make sure all of the bolts on the caliper and bracket are tight?

What type of pad material and rotors are they? Some performance sets you need to follow a specific method to cure the pads. Usually includes repeated acceleration and braking. More or less have to heat them up real good before you use them for regular driving.

The rotors, pads, and calipers are all OEM replacements. I'm 99% sure the pads a bedded right, I got a couple of second opinions just in case. I tried replacing the rubber brake hoses in hopes that the fluid was getting held held up in the lines. But no luck. Now I'm thinking that the master cylinder is the problem.
