I see these terms often in posts and am not always sure what exactly is being talked about. What is the "cab" light? Is that just another term for the dome light inside the cab? Seems I have seen that mentioned with regard to bed lighting and I don't see what that would have to do with bed lighting. Is there some light (maybe on the back of the cab) that lights up the bed of the truck? If so, how do you turn it on? Is it part of the third brake light assembly?

Cab light vs courtesy light vs dome light
Cab lights are the lights on top of the cab like big rig style. You should have a cargo light in your 3rd brake light that lights up the bed.

Cab lights generally refer to the clearance lights on the exterior roof of the truck.
A courtesy light is any switched interior light.
A dome light is the light(s) in your interior headliner above you.

OK, CARGO light. How do I turn that on? I am assuming I have one on my 2013 Silv 1500 LT ext cab????
There will be a small adjustment knob to the right of your headlight switch. That dims or brightens your dash lights. If you push it in it will pop out so you can grab it easier. Then if you turn it all the way clockwise all of your interior lights will come on AND your "cargo light". Which will light up your truck bed (well sorta, they aren't the brightest) Hope this helps
