I'm pretty sure I'm in the right thread. This is my CB install on my 09 Denali. Just wanted to throw this out there for anyone looking. I removed my cupholder and coin tray deal and made this. Also dual fiberglass antennas. If there's a CB thread. Throw me that way.

Looks like there is room for an 8 track player underneath.
Wow that was harsh Man! but I can enjoy a good ribbing. As a small CB enthusiast and former Commercial Truck driver who knows how to benefit still from the use of a CB I respect the install and placement. I have a 2016 LT and I don't have that ridiculously massive center console in my truck that the LTZ's have. There is no good area that I have seen to mount my CB that won't look out of place. I'm thinking of just getting one of those Cobra 75's where its easy to hide everything away. How did you mount the antennas?

Well the two main reasons for a center install was it's really the only place to put. Don't like the on the dash look and can't do overhead because of the sunroof. Was going to do a more flush mount closer to the AC controls using the stock center console insert and keeping the stock cup holders but once I removed it I realized I couldn't because of the Front seat AC duct box was there and in the way. So I made that platform. It ended up working out really well. With where it is I set it up high and at that angle so it makes adjustment really easy. I can literally tune it to the conversation while driving without even looking at it.

Ohh ok! I ran my uniden bearcat on the passenger side of my center console and it seems pretty easy to adjust without looking at it too

I was looking at doing that to but thought it would be to big there. Damn Denali gives no room for anything. Which bearcat do you have? I was looking at the bearcat 880 then decided to go with the cobra.

I did it like that in My Tacoma. The CB was a Uniden but an older model. I had the Bearcat in my Rig when I was driving. and would have liked to put it in my silverado but I can't find a place where I like it. which is why I'm thinking I'm going to run with the cobra 75.

How do you like your 880? It was between the cobra and the 880 and my wife bought me the cobra for my birthday so needless to say I went with the Cobra. I do love it tho.

Ninja racer if you want the way I installed mine wasn't hard at all. Popped out the old center insert and used it as a trace for the new wood then wrapped the wood on a nice peppeld metal (have lots of it layen around the shop). I love having a CB back in the vehicle. I might also go HAM here soon.

I liked it a lot. I got a lot of crap from people when they saw what unit I was running in my rig. they always wanted to see a cobra 29 or something. But it worked for what I needed and looked a lot nicer with the updated display.

I don't have the center console like you do. I have the jump seat in mine.

All in good fun! I actually have one in my old Scout, really only use it when we are out on club runs though. Fortunately my days of driving all day are long done.

Ninja I just saw your question about the antennas. Basically I went where the bed rail is at the back of the bed. Used the supplied mount with the antenna. Drilled holes and used spacers. I'll go snap some pics here in a minute. Also gounded both antennas strait to the frame to ensure a solid ground
Damn you did a lot more then I did I just self tapped the antenna mount to the back of the tool box and called it a day lol
