I have a po302 code that keeps popping up and I changed the spark plugs and coil pack, next will be a compression test. Can anyone help me with the correct way to do this because I want to get this right?!!

id guess wiring before i though mechanical.
you can get new coil pack wirng harness from the locl parts yard, or order brand new.
Plus id check the ground at the back of the head for the coil packs.
compression test is pretty quick and easy, you can check the plug and adjecent plugs in about 10 mins and have a ood idea if there is an issue..
but you didnt mention mileage, or anything other than 4.8 in the heading so we have zero clues to go off of.

Truck has 200,000 miles and just had lifters replaced, it just started the po302 code you can't tell it's misfiring only with the scanner.
