My dealer found and fixed my driver window wind noise. when they went to replace the rubber, the 2 pieces of the door sheet metal werent sealed up from the factory, where they spot welded the 2 pieces together, there was a big gap where the curve is at the top of the mirror area and at the top at the next bend before the widow levels out at the top. they sealed it and put on a new rubber. it is quiet now. my dealership has a great crew and they will work until your problem is fixed. I would suggest to anyone to go to my dealer, well i wished it was my dealer. Harry's GMC and Cadillac in Asheville NC..

Awesome.....I specifically sought out my dealer despite the fact that there were two closer because it was a small town place with great people. Good to hear there are large places out there that still value good service.

I am disappointed with the road noise in my 2013 Silverado Ext cab. Going from an Avalanche back to the Ext cab has been disappointing for me.
Is it just me or is this the norm for the newer Ext cabs?

Do you have a bug guard? They tend to make it worse but most can fix it themselves with some good double sided tape and a box blade. Open the door remove weather strip at the windshield to allow the removal of a few screws. Clean windshield and plastic then put your tape on the windshield, install the plastic thing and cut the remaining tape off the windshield then move to the passenger side and repeat.

Not sure who this was intended for, but I do have a bug screen up front, AVS...
If it was in response to me not happy with road noise I am not sure of your procedure...
install plastic thing? I assume you may be referring to the black plastic trim on the side of the windshield.
I think you basically saying that wind noise is being caused from the gap between the windshield and side plastic trim piece. Is that correct?
I'll definitely check into this if this is the case.
