new to post area would like to know if anyone one has made this swap ? If so can you give details on how this was accomplished? I have two new folding mirrors and would like to install them on my truck i have researched several blogs and read all kind of reports i have the LT1 package with powere mirrors and heat would like to swap and make it all work kind of silly having all the functions on mirrors and not using them. I have read just swap switches from LTZ or higher stlye to it done. I have the mirrors new in box just would like to know if it can be done and look factory My Switches i believe are the hardwire type IE( the small mirror button) and no modules under switch have removed switch just several plugs in bottom of switch . Any and all information would be a big help Thanks

I looked into this for my 09.
I have power and heat.
Upgrading to the power fold requires a new switch (obviously) and 2 modules per door plus wiring harnesses that you will need to fish through the doors.
After you get all of that done, the dealership will need to flash the BCM to make it all come together and work.

I decided to go with tow mirrors this spring instead!

thanks will keep that in mind still will keep trying to see if possible i read installing a toggle switch may be the only way and it will work with no programing but wanted to look like factory but really does not matter plan on keeping truck for while. 2 years old already only 400 miles on it sits under tarp 98% of the time anyway.
