Exhaust manifold bolts

Good afternoon all...
So I have 2 busted exhaust manifold bolts, rear 2 on drivers side. I have been looking for the better part of the day to figure out what size I need for a 2004 LM7 5.3... also... if there are any suggestions as far as upgrades over stock. I'm finding this is common with these engines although nothing for specs.
Any help would be great. I'm beginning to get a little frustrated.
Thanks.

Yah, it isn't an optimal fix by any means. If you want it "Fixed" right, then drilling out the broken bolts and putting in new ones (stainless as Mike suggests) is the way to go. If you can do it yourself, then it is surely a preferred solution.

The new fixtures for drilling them out I have never used. They seem solid in theory. We always weld nuts to the broken stud and spin them out that way.

Thanks for the replies fellas, i havent pulled anything yet... Having to wait for some down time. Plus pulling it apart without having parts on hand isnt ideal.

So Stainless would be preferred over Chromoly? Any specific reason or benefit as far as one vs the other?

Anyone have an idea as far as part numbers or what size i need to order?

Another option is to use OEM studs like I did. Part #s here silentbravo's 2001 GMC Sierra 2500HD
I think I had about $40 or so into those, had to find them on ebay. Genuine GM replacement bolts would have been about the same or more $ and we already know those are junk. Studs have their own advantages, but if you aren't going to upgrade or change the bolts again, they aren't necessary.

ARP is usually "the best" for bolts/hardware but also usually the most money too.

Stage 8 locking header bolts are pretty nice as well, http://store.stage8.com/p/8900-ls1-ls2- ... r-bolt-kit

Works good though and saved me having to pay for an exchange head because that bolt was seized inside the head grrrrr
