Where can I buy 0-20 oil for 2025 Silverado 3.0 diesel truck
Late response, but there are now a bunch of DexosD 0w20 's

The gas engines use Dexos1 Gen 3

The DexosD 5w30's are not intended for the 3.0L

The 6'6 diesel does NOT use Dexos spec oil.

dexos 1 gen 2

Please note: GM dexos D engine oils meet or exceed the performance of GM dexos 2 engine oils and are backward compatible, therefore vehicles equipped with diesel engines that previously used GM dexos 2 will use GM dexos D licensed engine oil of the of the appropriate viscosity grade at their next oil change.

Can you?
Sure you can use peanut oil if you want to.
But the engine isnt going to last long in that case, But diesel oil is slighly different from gas oil for a reason.

Why are you trying to ventrue out when you have a new truck that if you use the "wrong" oil they can void your warranty.
My .02 worth: Gas and Diesel engines are two totally different products! Diesels require a higher detergent factor and API rating for your particular engine. Is this your first diesel? I'm a retired driver/manager for Chevron and know what I'm talking about. There are other considerations as well, but those are the two main ones.

I dont own a diesel, i stay far away from them.

But i do use "diesel" oil in a bunch of gas burners..

Just because a oil is for diesel's does not mean it’s inherently better for a gas engine. Diesel oil is engineered with a higher amount of dispersant and detergent package to deal with the increased amount of soot and other hydrocarbon combustion by-products present in a diesel engine that is not in a gas engine.

You have to go diesel. I’m 62 and bought my first diesel 2023 3.0 GMC Denali and I’m pissed at myself for not doing it sooner. I’ll never go back to gas.

Come on that’s like saying your Volkswagen 1970 bug is as good as a Lexus lol
Hahah the '70 bug is prolly more reliable.

I was just asking cause i wonder how folks "justify" the prices of the newer trucks.

The 3.0s i know of have some crazy oil consumption issues (GM claims 1qt/2500 miles is normal) and if you have ever seen how cramped they have the turbo/exhaust/emissions crap under the hood its crazy.
