Probably a not fun one. Start by rolling the window down and removing the outer weatherstrip. This allows a pretty good view down in the cavity to see what is going on.

 

GMT800 extended cab clamshell windows don't roll down sadly. Might have to see if I can coax the door card off with it closed.

That is correct.

 

This happened on my '00 Silverado. I was able to fold-up the lower seat and pull back the door panel enough to get my hand in there to pull on the rods. The little plastic clips that hold the rods in place were broken.

 

That is my plan for tomorrow, we'll see how it goes. I was thinking one or more of those clips are broken.

 

Unluckily for you the door panel isn’t off.

If you are able to take the door panel off then do it. It makes it soooo much easier.

 

Quick update, I was able to pull the door card back enough to use a pick to open the top latch and open the door. The clip for the upper rod was broken. $6 at Advance and I'm back in action. Thanks y'all!
