HD hood on 2007 thru 2013 Silverado?

I like the plastic inserts that the 2500 and 3500 Silverado trucks have on the hood from 2007 thru 2013.

If putting these on a 1500 Silverado, can these plastic pieces be added to the hood of a 1500 Silverado from 2007 thru 2013. or would the entire hood have to be put on?

The plastic parts I'm speaking of are on both sides of the hood on 2500 and 3500 Silverado trucks

I thought they looks kinda cool and wondered if these could be added to 1500 Silverados since the hood look very similar

No, you aren't allowed to. You can only install them on trucks that came from the factory as a 2500 or 3500.
Well, that certainly sets off the BS monitor! 🤠

Correct me if I’m wrong but is that not a 88-98 truck in the picture?
Actually I think it is. Some guy figured out how to put the hood on a truck it wasn't designed for which is kinda cool.

I just did a quick search to find a pic that has the plastic pieces I'm talking about as an illustration

Mine is a 2011 Silverado and the hoods from 07-13 2500 / 3500 trucks looks the same as the 1500

So, maybe someone that has done this will come along and answer the question as to whether the hoods are interchangeable or not.

I'm not going to go out and buy a good used hood in my truck's color to experiment cause I can't get a refund if it didn't workout.

Another option would be to find someone locally that has a 2500 / 3500 truck in my year range and go compare the two and take some measurements.

It will fit the hinges and line up to the fenders as the fenders are the same. However there’s a good chance it will not line up correctly to the 2500/3500 rad support as they are different. Height and placement of the hood latch may be an issue too. Unless someone answers, you may have to look for one and measure.

google search, first result. Looks like there is an answer to your hood question in there ;)
