Sounds good! I know it I was trying to squeeze between a car and the curb and didn’t have the room clearly. The cord is even slightly showing if you look where I’m pulling it back. You think that’s fine?

 

I wouldn’t run that tire very long. I’d replace it for sure.

 

Agree replace it sooner than later seeing a fee cords exposed

 

I wouldn't run that at all for any length of time. I don't take chances with tires

 

Get a new one and sell the old one to the guy that said "you will be fine"

 

The tire is compromised, especially with the threads showing. Ditch it.

 

Yeah I work at a tire and alignment shop and we would never tell anyone to run that tire unless they 100% just had to. No way to repair that safely. Would recommend to replace that tire as quickly as you can. Don’t take any chances with that.

 

I’ll get a tire soon. You think a week or 2 will be fine as long as I keep it under 50mph

 

Good point I did not see the cord. Yeah screw that tire lol

I've drove on tires with chunks taken out the side but I did not notice the cord at all.

 

Don’t you have a spare tire?

 

Honestly I would put the spare on if you have on the same size. If not, I’d buy a new tire/park the vehicle if you can. I wouldn’t drive on that tire personally

 

I would have replaced it right then and there. Replace the tire.

 

Even a worn out tire at any speed is better than that tire. Get a used tire for the few weeks that it might take to get a new one. Go to the junk yard and get a wheel and tire for 25 bucks until you can save up for a matching tire. Sounds like you need a replacement spare tire and wheel assembly anyway.

Don't become a statistic here!! If this was a big rig truck, they would impound your vehicle until you got it fixed and write you a large ticket fine. It is also quite possible that your insurance would not pay out if you got in an accident and they knew you had been driving on this bad tire for more than a few hours.

I have a spare but it’s a different size than the tires I’m running. I ordered my new tire today I just need the truck to go to school and back for now less than 5 miles of driving only twice a day. Other than that I won’t drive it. I would not drive it if that was an option but it’s my only vehicle and I need to get to school.

 

Just put some JB Weld on it. You’ll be fine ;-)

 

I wouldn't run that tire at all. How much is your continued health worth to you?

 

I Always buy insurance on my tires. My wife rolled a 4Runner on I-10, it rolled 3Xs due to a damaged Cooper tire the tire shop said was OK.
Change That Tire Now!

 

It will run for a while, but for peace of mind, I would replace it before long. Keep it for a spare.

 

I wouldn't even keep it as a spare. It's not safe for any use.

 

If you had an ounce of sense you would get that replaced right away.
