Hello, I am new on here.. My issue that I am having is I have a 14 silverado reg cab short box and it came with the I04 and the 4.2 in screen so I went to a wrecking yard and got a 8 inch touch screen along with a I06 hmi module both out of same truck which was a 15 silverado lt. I brought home switched it all out knowing would have to get it programmed to my trucks Vin.. well I could get it to work when the truck was off i pushed the on button and held it and it came on i synced my phone and looked at the nav and all was good my vin was in there when i looked at the traceablity under the tuner section.. if u hold the on button home button and menu all at the same time u can go in and look at stuff.. but when i turned vehicle on it came up theftlock.. so i took to dealership and they tried to program hmi to my truck ( I had vin number from the truck that the units came out of) so of course they could not really do it.. the screen is now black to as before the screen would come on if u opened door and shut door the my link screen would come up. now nothing.. i can get the radio to come on but black screen.. So I am at a loss as to what to do now and a little miffed about the whole thing.. I have read that it can be done the vin relearn i realize that maybe for the older chevs?

Have you tried contacting another dealer or a company that sells the upgrades? Maybe the dealer you took it to didn't do something correctly.
