all of them? or just the 194 marker kight.

and how do you find LED's work for reverse lights... they were the only ones I was really interested in replacing.
The only one I changed on the rear lights were the reverse light to led. The rest are stock bulbs and they show through fine. When I rewired the TBL as a brake light only I installed all leds in there... ;)

ok so in the day I noticed one light was a shade darker than the other so seeing as how I was planning to give them each anither coat to try and fix the problem of the light shining through around the marker bulb. well I put on another light coat followed by one a little heavier making sure to get the sides darker and up above the reverse lens. ill post up some pics I shfot during the day and how the lens look now after I just sprayed them. its half past 5 so I don't know if ill get a shot of them on the truck before it gets too dark out.

As you will notice the Right side taillight is darker than the Left side and for some reason the way the light is shining makes one reverse lens look like its slightly tinted... they aren't I had them both taped off.

Right Taillight - Day

Left Taillight - Day

TBL - Day

Complete Rear View - Day

Both Lights Off of the Truck - WET & Final Coat

It's only been a little over an hr since the last coat was applied so hopefully they will be dry soon so I can get them on the truck and snap a pic before it starts raining

Alright I promise no more pics after this lol. These are ones I just snapped while the rain stopped for a few moments...and by the look of the front step now not a moment too soon

These are shots of my finished product. I didn't do any wet sanding prior to or after finishing the spraying. As well I didn't do any top clear coat. I will tho be getting a coat of wax on them next time I do the truck just to see how it would look that way.

i did this turned out awesome! i didnt scuff the lights before just gave them a good cleaning then i taped the back up lights off with tuct tape the red builders tape have lots around as i am a carpenter and wow it works awesome you can cut it so easy as its thin it would be very easy to do decal with this tape and it lays right flat to the lens if you apply it correctly. i did 3 coats light ones buffing inbetween then applied a clear coat then wet sanded it and did another clear coat may do more but for now pretty happy with it just need to buff it with a compound to get it like glass. Excellent write up guys and all your input definately saved some cash from buying aftermarket ones and look just as good :)

I forgot to post after pictures

Buffed them out again with a Mothers Powerball. Still not satisfied so next week I'll strip them and do it all over again. But this is how they sit now.

So while my truck was in for an oil change last week the dealer noticed some condensation in both of my tail lights... needless to say both were replaced under warranty but now I'm left deciding on if I want to tint my lights again...and if so do I tint the whole lens...mask off the reverse.... or just leave a little strip/section clear for the reverse.

I have replaced my reverse lights with some LED's.... how much would they be affected fully tinted?

Depends on how dark you go but it makes a pretty big difference. I also replaced all my lights with LED's and it didn't do squat for my reverse lights. If I was to do it again I might do one light coat, mask of the reverse light section and then tint everything else to your liking.

It was hard to see in the pics but in the day you could still slightly see the red through the tint and my oem bulbs were still quite visible...and I thought the tint was quite dark lol But if all I'm going to get with a complete tint is a small reflection of the reverse in the lens then that's no good to me
