I just did a tuneup on my 2004 Silverado 5.3 L V8. I change the spark plugs in the spark plug wires and I changed all 4 o2 sensors. I used Bosch universal. I started it up and took it for a test drive after warm up. It ran like new. I mean it ran perfectly. It had a mess in it before and the mess was completely gone. The next day I took it for another drive and again it ran perfectly I couldn't get the smile off my face. Near the end of the drive I decided to put my foot in a little.... like an idiot. So I stepped on it maybe three-quarter gas pedal and it revved up to about 4000 and then shifted then I let off and I stopped and then I drove up the road about a mile and it started to idle roughly. The check engine light came on so I bought a code reader and I've got random multiple cylinder missed misfire. And I have codes on all 4 o2 sensors, Bank one sensor one Says no info or not detected. And all four of them show that they're not heating. And one of them showed high voltage at one point.
So I thought I blew my head gasket. And I bought steel seal. I ran it last night into the engine And let it cool off overnight. Started it up today and it still runs like crap. I would love it if it were just the O2 sensors that I bought being bad. But I don't Understand why it ran so perfectly until I put my foot into it. I almost want to cry. I am kidding but yeah I am pretty depressed about it.
