Hey guys, quick question

With the 10% off deal going on at Discount tire, I am going to be ordering wheels and tires. BUT I would like to physically go to the location to pick them up for pre-inspection before taking them home. So my question is if discount tire the same thing as mavis discount tire? There are a bunch of Mavis Discount Tires around me, but I do not see a Discount Tire.

Are they the same? I was hoping to stop into the store on Friday and place my order, but I do not want to go to Mavis and they not have the deal. Thanks.

Also, as a side question, has anyone seen a better deal than 10% entire wheel/tire purchase?

Yeah never hurts to try. All the mavis stores by me (used to be STS tire) are a bunch of hacks and are overpriced. The one near where I work isn't bad but still expensive compared to my local store guy (independent owned)

Mavis is just another big tire chain store. Super high turnover rate for employees, and in my experience, they hire the cheapest people they can get that can maybe sling tires.

The closest one I that comes up on their locator on the website is down in Virginia I believe.

I'd you are looking for decent prices and good service check out Stews tire in schnecksville. That's where I normally go. I know the owner personally and he usually has really fair prices. Especially after you factor in mount and balance if you bought them online and had to have them mounted somewhere.

Ya, Virginia is the closest. Dangit.

I just drove by Stew's the other day and the guy I was with said something about them. I'll have to check them out.

Mounting and Balancing I am not worried about. I got a buddy that works in a shop that can do that for me. Plus help me install whatever I get for the truck with access to a lift.

If your gatti g the mount and balance free then you can probably get them cheaper online for sure.

Tire buyer usually has some of the better prices. But discount tire also has deals sometimes other dont.

Just really depends on the exact tire and the price they have at the time.
