Ok so I'm looking for a sub to put under my back seat.

My plan was to go with a Sundown SD-3 12 with dual 2 ohm coils in a custom box.

But my buddy just sent me this link and it looks interesting.

Specs look good. Reviews I have found have been good. And it looks like it will fit under the back seat without and problems.

What do you guys think?

I had a kicker compR 10 in my last car for about 2 years and i loved it. Very clean response and it didn't have any issues until I bought my truck and didn't have room for it anymore. I wouldn't hesitate to buy kicker subs again.

I have had a bunch of kicker subs in the past. But it's been a long time. And I only have the cash to do this one time.
I have always loved Kicker subs but seeing as I have not owned one in more than 10 years or ever had a slim sub in my life I want some feedback on this before I do anything.

Hey man here is the link to the setup I just ordered. Ill have more to say when i get it installed lol I like the quality of the box and the kicker sub and amp that comes with it! I know its only a 10 but I think its gonna hit pretty good.

Looks nice!

I really want a 12 tho.
And I want it on the passenger's side of the truck as I use the drivers side under seat area for storage a lot.

Still up in the air on what I am going to do with my truck or audio.

I have to start ordering stuff soon tho. Or I will never get it all installed before my trip.

I love my Sundown. I have it on a Rockford 1200.1 that had a Birth sheet of 1438 watts RMS @ 14v. I have it mathamatically gain set to about 1000 watts RMS and it does well. I barely ever have passengers back there so it works for me. Kicker isn't a bad choice. You can get a Kicker moving and producing bass with less power than the avg. sub of same size. That is the whole premise behind their campaign branded "Livin' Loud". Do it with less power basically so a smaller amp is needed. I had a CVR 12 D4 (Silver not Charcoal) on a Rockford R500X1D and it sounded good.

Yeah I really need a passangeres side box. I use the drivers side a lot and don't want ot have to walk around the truck all the time.

Looks killer man!
But I can not give up my seat like that. I use my back seat all the time for work. So that's just not an option.
I can get a good deal on that Kicker sub box threw a friend. About 20% off.
And with a clean 500 watts going to itit should meet my needs.
But I have never heard any thing using a passive radiator before. So I'm torn as I don't want to spend all this cash and end up not liking it. I don't have the cash to do this again any time soon so I want to be sure I get it right the first time.
I really want to do the Sundown SD-3 but its expensive and large. And it needs a larger box at 0.8 ft3. (For an under seat box that is)
And it would be a lot of work to build that custom box. I don't trust anyone else to do it. And there is no prefab box that will work that I can find. And honestly most of them look like crap anyway.
