I recently upgraded my rear brake lights to red LEDs on my 08 silverado. I am trying to fix the hyperblinking issue with 6 ohm resistors in each bulb. My problem is after hooking up the resistors on my rear tail lights, they aren't working very well. My turn signals flash normally during the day, but when its dark out and all the lights are on, my rear tail lights don't blink at all and stay lit up. You can't even tell when I hit the brakes at night unless you look at the third brake light. Also, when this happens my dash shows that it goes back to hyperblinking. Anyone ever run into this issue and if so, how did you fix it?
I have since then removed the resistors and have been putting up with the hyper blinking and i've been trying to find a fix for it.
I had the resistors hooked up to the yellow and black wire on the drivers side and the dark green and black on the passenger side.
