My truck is similar only with the bigger engine. It made a huge difference removing the torque management. Before tuning my truck I could barely spin the tires and it seemed to fall on its face under hard acceleration. Now it feels like a truck. I havent completed any custom tuning yet, but plan to in about a month.

Dont expect huge hp numbers from a tune. These arent diesel motors. Maybe 10hp if you are lucky(stock motor). The reason we tune is to remove torque management, remove the speed limiter and adjust for mods. The last one is where you can make some good gains. Like I have a high flow muffler, mit, and soon headers, I will need to correct my afr to compensate for the increased flow. This leads to more power from a tune, but really it is optimizing everything else and bringing it together.

I ordered the intune with custom tune. I have a 2007 NBS Silverado with the 5.3. I've noticed a big difference. Truck feels much more responsive. I run the 91 octane tune.

Let me tell you, it's definitely worth it. I ran into an issue with the ABS light coming on after I uploaded the tune (apparently this is a common problem with the 2007 models), and Lew helped me resolve this issue immediately (just had to change the tire size on the tune). His instructions are easy to follow and when sending in a log file for him to adjust the tune, I would get an emailed tune file back the same day. Any questions were always answered within a few hours.

Not only is the custom tune worth it, but the customer service is phenomenal!

I would definitely recommend getting it, i lifted my truck before i got a tuner. the bigger tires and rims really made it a turd, but after getting the tuner i was beating all my friends that just had leveling kits. They all wanted to know what I did to my truck haha. Plus i'm only running the diablo tune right now, i just have to log some data then i'll be on my way to getting a custom tune and even more horses under my hood.

Bottom Line - This is the best investment you can make in your truck. You will get more HP, more torque, and more MPGs (if you can combat the lead foot syndrome that comes with it).

WORTH IT!!!!!

On a side note, due to gas prices and a 100% city commute for the last month I recently installed the MPG booster canned tune and re-enabled AFM (back-down Kyle...it hurt me too), thing still has better throttle response than stock, especially with the firm tranny shifting and a few other parameters I've tweeked outside of the tune. Miracle product! MPGs up 1.8 as well......

I don't have one on this truck, but had one on my old truck and it is well worth it.

I am buying one from Lew here in the next month, and he is awesome to deal with.

Send Lew a PM and he can answer any question you have before buying.

The bad things aren't anything I've talked to you about in the emails. HAHA. Just wanted to see if anyone had any bad things to say about Diablo. Thankfully not. That shows a lot to me. Sorry for not ordering it yet. Just brother had some issues in college so I had to send him some $$$. Know I have to resave it all up. Looking forward for the day to where I can Buy the tune. Hopefully I can buy it soon Lew.
Thank you for all your help. I've really appreciated it.
