I will get some pics up sometime later. I have been talking to someone from Realtruck through live chat and it looks like I can not get rocker mounted bars for my truck. She said it was not strong enough for the weight of the bars. She has told me Westin and Raptor are now frame mounted and she says if one company switches, the rest will follow.

Here are a couple of pics of truck. It only has about 73000 miles and is a pretty clean truck, inside and out. It came with a topper but I took that off right away. There are a few issues, there is a problem with the fuel pump, has a hole in the line so it takes longer to build up pressure, it needs new tires, ball joints will need to be replaced soon, mostly typical truck stuff.

Thanks. I was wondering about the pics not showing up. I was going to remove the img tags on my previous post but I can not edit it anymore. I guess when someone posts after you, you can't go back and edit that post.

Yeah, I'd say you wouldn't have any problems with it rubbing in the front. Those don't look to curve backwards any from that angle.

So have you decided on going with wheel-to-wheel or not memory1?

Great looking truck!!! :D :D

Don't know if you looked at the N-fab's, but I just put a set on my truck. So far i like the way they look and function, but time will tell

If everything fits without rubbing, I will definitely go for wheel to wheel. One thing this truck will be used for is hauling firewood so I think having a step for part of the bed will be a big help.

And it looks like I will have to get frame mounted bars instead of rocker panel mounted. They do not make rocker panel mounted bars for my truck according to realtruck.com. I think I would feel more comfortable with frame mounted since that would be stronger than rocker panel mounted.

Monteman, I have seen some like that and I don't know if I like them or not. With those, you can only put your foot in one place. How much did a set of those cost you?

On a side note, why can't I edit my post with the pics in it? I can edit my other previous posts.

The ss was 534.00 shipped, they do make them with 3 steps per side(last one being for bed access) also come in black.
I was in the same boat as you, and couldn't find any I really liked. I was worried the N-fabs would look too "off-road" and was also concerned about the steps hanging too low on a non lifted truck, but now that I have them on I am very happy with them. Good Luck

I talked to Oreilly's and they want around $600 for Westin Platinum Oval 4" wheel to wheel. I have been looking online and found a website with a really good price it seems.

http://www.carid.com/westin-automotive/ ... p-bars.htm

It looks like these come with an isolator bracket for the wheel to wheel models. It is supposed to eliminate all the squeaking from the truck twisting. Anybody have any experience with this bracket?

The price from carid is pretty good for being westin. That isolator bracket sounds like a big win in my book. I might order those now.

He didn't say they would not fit. He just said that is all he has available in wheel to wheel.

More than likely, I will be buying online. Oreilly's did say whatever I found online, just bring it in and he will see if he can match the online price

Well crap, I don't think the one from carid will work with my truck. It is for an extended cab and not crew cab. I did find the same ones that Oreilly's has on ebay for $504 shipped which is still much cheaper than Oreilly's. I will show them that price and see if they can price match it. I would rather buy from a local store in case I have to return it for whatever reason. I would hate to see what it would cost to ship these things. The only thing is I don't know if the ebay ones come with the isolator brackets.

Damn, good catch on that. I didn't realize they were for the extended cab.

I found the exact model number for them but no one has prices close to carid. I'm contacting them now to see if they can get them.

I contacted carid through live chat and they do not carry part# 24-54000 which is what I need for crew cab. They are going to check and see if they can get it.

And according to Amazon, part# 24-54000 is discontinued.

One thing I am trying to figure out is if these bars come with the isolator mounting brackets.

I did some searching on jegs and I could not find part# 24-54000. They have the Westin in steel but not stainless steel. If I do buy any, it is going to be stainless for sure.

It looks like if you want wheel to wheel with the crew cab model, you can not get the bars with the isolator mounting bracket. Kind of bummed about that but oh well.

Do you think I will run into any problems with the wheel to wheel model with no isolator brackets? I am not too worried about squeaking because I think that can be fixed easy enough. I was more worried about it eventually cracking the bars from the truck flexing.
