Pretty durable. These are almost 2 years old. No paint chips, scuff marks washes right out. Most of it's life my tires was rubbing on them every time I made a hard turn and never came off. Only way I can see them break off is from offroading.

I don't have painted ones on my current truck, but have had them on several previous trucks, cars, and suv's. Never had a problem with them.

They narrow your wheel wells. I have a 6.5" lift with 305/55r20's on stock wheels and they slightly rub at full turn in reverse. I'm contemplating on removing them or adding a leveling kit.
