Not the same body style, but I got mud flaps on mine and while some people seem to not like them, I personally like mud flaps. They don't seem to be as noticeable, and it keeps the crap off of my truck.

I have an 09 Sierra and was debating as you are. Custom Molded OEM I got and I am very happy.

Personally, I am a no flaps guy. But, this is the first black truck I have owned, and EVERYTHING shows up  so, hunting for other options, I did find the clear "tape" that you can apply in those problem areas, and I am leaning towards that right now...just a thought

Im not a huge fan of mud flaps, but the '00 silverado i just bought had them on there.

This truck had by far the cleanest rocker panels of all the trucks i looked at before i bought it. I think the flaps did a good job at keep them from rotting away like most others.

I personally like them for protection from rocks and snow/salt. Here in snow country them seem to keep the rockers cleaner and keep the snow and salt from accumulating under the frame which hopefully translates into less rust. Well worth it in my book.
I have the no drill and they went on in 15 minutes.

I personaly had no choice..My truck has a 6 inch lift..In my state, if your bumper is more than 18 inches off ground you need them by law..Now thats pretty much every truck..they are lenient on this, but if you have an obvious monster truck, without flaps it's a 70$ ticket :D

+1

I like mine. It keeps the truck looking cleaner after you wash it too.

I put the husky ones on mine. I was having problem with rocks chipping my paint causing small rust spots to form, but i'm not a yuppie and live in the city either lol (southwest missouri)

Personally , I'd suggest the weathertechs, made in USA, easy to install no drilling required. I had mine color matched at my local body shop. Looks nice and functional you don't even notice they are there. Pm me your email and ill send you some pics.

I don't know why everyone talks up the "no drill" so much. It's no big deal drilling 10 holes in your wheel well. A little silicone in the holes and your set.
It's actually worse putting them on and leaving them there for the life of your truck. Regardless of how tight they fit, water and debris is going to get behind them. Mine will come off once a year for cleaning / inspection. Just like my front wheel liners have been out twice for cleaning and my cowl has been off once for cleaning.

Drill the holes and put some silicone in the holes. The OEM's look the bast IMO.

Considering how dirty my rockers and assist steps are, and what my camper looked like after towing through snow just before New Years (yeah, I'm crazy  ) I need a set.

It's a regional thing depending on if you are going to have to drive a gravel roads or have tube steps and drive in snow, I hate sliding out and my leg hits the step and it is covered in salty slush and my pants get soaked.
