Hey guys this is my first time posting so I hope it turns out ok. I've been a member for quite a while now and have used the site lots for researching problems or future mods. But usually I can find what Im looking for with the search and some patience :)

Anyways this summer I bought a 2010 6.2 Silverado for a little more go and extra potential for the occasional "hooning" than my previous 2006 5.3 (really loved that truck). But after messing around in the rain a bit and reading posts on here I've found that even after you spend 10 or more seconds of your life holding the button to turn off Stabilitrak, it's still not actually off... And I'm worried it's going to drive me nuts once we finally get some snow here in MB.

So I came across a post on here with a video
about making a switch in the cab to simulate pulling the fuse on the whole abs/Stabilitrak system. That's seems to be the best answer I can find and looks like a pretty good idea. But here's where I need help. In the video he already had the top of the fuse box separated from the bottom to access the wire. I can get mine unlatched and stuff but all or most of the wiring is still plugged into the top and I can't figure out how to get it apart?
How do I get it apart? Or if anyone has any other suggestions to do something similar I'd love to hear them.

Thanks for the fast reply!
I can get it unlatched at both ends and get the top part out far enough to rotate it a bit so I don't THINK it would still be latched to anything. I can lift it out maybe 2 inches then it gets tight and I can see that the wires underneath are still attached. I had to pull it pretty hard to even get it to that point and got scared I was going to rip the wires out or something but I guess I'll give it another go tomorrow

So I did try again and got to about the same place. It feels like if I pull any more than I did I'll be pulling wires out of connectors or something. Am I missing something to get them to let go and unplug or are mine just THAT stiff? I'll try adding pictures if I can get them to upload

All those wires go into a variety of connector that then plug into the bottom of the fuse block. What you want to do is pull it out like you've already started to do then reach under and disconnect the wires.

If you look underneath the fuse block you can see where the connectors are supposed to be clipped into frame that the fuse block connects to. Put all the connectors back into those spots and everything will line up when you go to put the fuse block back in.

Those wires shouldn't have come up w the fuse panel, the wires go to plugs that should be attached to the fuse box base. At least, that's how it works for my two '12 3500's...

I would disconnect the battery, then work on prying the connectors away from the botton the fuse panel from the side.

I am also trying to remove the fuse box and the wires are coming up with it. I tried getting to the wires with my fingers I might be able to get a grip on them do i pull them straight down or would i need to wiggle them like i would when removing a relay from the box? I am hesitant to just go pulling on wires. The truck has enough problems I would hate to cause myself more to have to fix.
Thanks so much for any help.
