I am needing some torque specs for my truck. It's a 1993 GMC Sierra c1500 4.3L 2wd. This is concerning my rear differential cover. It has 10 bolts and I'm pretty sure it's an 8.5. (Whatever would come factory with this setup) any information would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

30 ft lbs for the cover and if your fussy 24 ft lbs for the fill plug. Use some blue loctite on the bolts. Don't forget to get a new gasket for the rear cover. The front diff doesn't use a gasket so you have to use RTV silicone, If you use the silicone don't fill the diff back up right away, you have to give the sealant a chance to cure before the oil contacts it. You can use silicone on the rear diff if you want instead of the gasket. I just prefer to always use a gasket if available. Before you drain the diff oil drive the truck around to warm up the fluid so it flows easier. Hope that helps Just had a brain fart forgot you only have a rear diff 2WD so nevermind the front diff instructions. lol
