Been a while since i stopped in and made a post. Holidays got a little hectic on me..haha

Anyways, just wanted to share my project from this morning. Installed a set of GoRhino Dominator II side steps. Am very happy with the overall fit and finish of these bars and the material used is top notch. They are very sturdy and seem really well built. I got the black ones because the black bars will be getting Line-X'ed the same color as the truck. This should look pretty good with the silver step pads, plus it will add another layer of protection to keep them from rusting.

I also had the front windows tinted to match the back ones. Let me know what you think or if you have any questions about the steps.

I've always loved chrome nerf bars, but for heaven's sakes man, black is the way to go now! That's a stud of a truck. Never seen black like that before. Holy cow. Might have to do the same to my truck...

Your truck is that dark ming metallic blue right?
IBM... Imperial Blue Metallic.

Line-X can't match the color exactly due to the metallic flake, but they showed me a sample of what they can match,.. and it will barely be noticeable on the bars. Should look sweet when they are done.

Gotcha, hard to tell form pics. My bro had one that was the dark ming metallic blue. Looked almost purple in the right light.

Those steps will look great when you get em lined! Can't wait to see em!

LINE-X IS THE BEST THING EVER!

How do you like the tint? I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Any pros or cons that you can think of?

I love the tint. Every car I have ever had I have tinted. I really does make a difference, especially on sunny, hot days.

with the advancements in tint development and application, it really does hold up really well and for a long time.

I like the bars, look great on your truck. Post some pics after they get linex'd. You're making me second guess my purchase of the stainless bars I just ordered, oh well, I guess we'll see how they look once they get shipped.

Again - sick truck, man!

Just an update. The truck is scheduled to have the bed Line-X'd as well as have the nerf bars done as well. Bed will be done the generic black and over the rail. The bars will be colored to match the trucks paint code. I have already taken the bars off as well as removed the brushed stainless step pads. The step pads are getting a polishing treatment to make them resemble chrome. Also ordered chrome bed rails to balance out the amount of chrome up front, plus I think it will look good also.

On another note,.. I did get a good quote for a Rough Country 3.5" lift with installation and am deffinately going to be doing that in the coming months. All in all, the truck should looks pretty awesome when done.

Update!!!

Got the Line-X sprayed today. I was able to pick up the truck, but will have to wait until tomorrow to pick up the nerf bars. They had an issue with the color and had to apply a second coat and allow to dry overnight. I will say the color is spot on!

Anyways, here are some pics of the bed. It turned out extremely well and I could not be happier.

Good shot that shows the thickness of the spray:

They must have applied a 3D logo prior to spraying the bed. Deffinately was not expecting it, but it is a cool way to put their name on it, especially since I opted out of the tradition window sticker:

I will post pics tomorrow of the nerf bars so stay tuned in.

Here are the nerf bars. They are a little sirty and look a lot better in person. I could not be happier and the best part is,.. they are extremely durable now and will resist rusting more than any other coating!

Here is the before and after of the polished step pads:

I'm looking at the same bars for my EXT Cab. I have the factory mud guards and was wondering if there would be space between them and the bars up front? Dont want them to rub...

i used a spray from lows that is a rubberized sealant and prevents rust. looks exactly like the line x, but cheaper probably. i sparayed about 3 coats on to give it a little thicker look. works great. if you buy the dominator steps, the paint will chip off realy easy and it will rust.
