New flabed wiring

So i got a new flatbed for my 2004 2500hd. Got it all installed. Due to the taillights on those trucks having separate bulbs for the turn signal and stop light, i couldn't wire it using the oem taillight harnesses. The flatbed i got shares the stop light and turn signal like a trailer. I just wired it through the trailer plug harness.

Now , since I don't have my taillight harnesses plugged in, my turn signals flash rapidly when turned on. I plugged the harnesses in and let them hang and they flashed normal.

I know i get the rapid flash due to no resistance sensed in the harness from the bulbs when not plugged in.

How do i get it to operate normally? Can i wire resistors and wrap it all up in the harness and just keep it plugged in or is there any aftermarket box or relay I can get to trick it.

With all the flatbeds i see on these truck, there has to be someone that has run into this.

I hope I explained this well enough so yall can understand what I'm trying to accomplish.

You can get a electronic flasher module that doesn't do the fast-flash for missing bulbs. The resistor trick will also work, you'll probably want to use a different one than commonly used, as they are ohm'ed for having an LED in the circuit as well.

Tridon LM 487 I believe is the flasher module you need. Same as my 2006 1500. It's located behind the lower dash panel, in front of your left knee.

Just installed a flatbed on my 2004 and I cannot make my stop lights and turn signals work how can I wire them to make them work

You have to wire it up like the flatbed is wired. Or wire it like a trailer is wired. My flatbed is wired through the 7 wire trailer plug. The taillights plugs aren't even plugged into the combination panel that is on the frame anymore.

I had them wired to the panel on the chassis but I can only have stop lights and running lights no turn signals

I’m trying to do the same thing but only one light works on the brake light and the other one with the turn signal

I believe you need to get a device/adapter to wire "combined" lights to GM's wiring, as the GM setup assumes all the lights are separate, and just connecting multiple power/ground wires to the same bulb doesn't work.

Hooking up the lights to the trailer plug will probably also work, but I would expect you get hyperflash if you do this, as the return turn lights won't have any connection.
