Nice radio/sound upgrades for 2020 2500 Silverado LT?

I don't drive the 2500 much as it's for house and garage projects, but when I do drive it I find myself doing quite a bit of 2hr+ drives. Right now it's been all headphones for me since even the CD player doesn't work and half the speakers fart, but I'd love to put something in that gives me good sound.

I'm open to clean aftermarket units, or OE upgrades. I guess the ultimate goal would be an OE upgrade from a newer generation truck but I am not familiar with the compatibility.

Otherwise I'll start snooping in the aftermarket space.

Not looking for anything lavish - my 9 yr old VW CC has all the tech/sound quality I would need - but the 20yr old rig falls short.

Anyone else venture down this road?

phone crutchfield. put in an aftermarket radio w a harness adapter so you don't have to hack up the truck's harness, and perhaps replace the speakers.

I didnt get top of the line and went with hertz k165s and they made a world of difference in my 2009. And that was just the front two doors. I need to get the rear door speakers to match and an amp and it will be an extremely nice sound quality upgrade from the stock non bose.

I just called crutch field and told them what I wanted out of the system and what the overall plan was and I am happy with the recommendation thus far.

Even got a cool touch screen radio that wasnt too pricey.
