I have a 2WD Z71 and I'm trying to figure out if I can put the RC 2" leveling kit on it to give some lean/squat. It's already about level as it sits now.. so I thought it'd be a quick cheap mod to give me exactly what I want. My goal is to have a simple stock-ish build with a noticeable squat but without looking tacky.. and I'd like to have a nice meaty mud or all terrain on the stock wheels that fill up the fender wells and have some nice sidewall tread. The 33s I see come through on trucks in our oil bay shop seem a bit small for the look I've always had in mind for a truck.. however I don't see a real need to shell out half a grand or so to lift a 2wd and fit some expensive tires that will never see their worth of mud.

So.. I get under my truck and look at the location the RC kit would mount to.

I already see a block and judging from the picture I posted below... my truck already has a leveling kit on it, right?

I know the 2WD Z71 package was supposed to have upgraded struts though.. but not a lift block? This is my first experience with leveling kits and I'm still an amateur so just stick with me LOL. If it is already leveled, it only seems to be about an inch thick.. so would the RC 2" kit give me the extra inch or so I'm looking for? For $49 and free shipping I don't think I could beat that but I may be getting my hopes up. Help me clarify please!

Your truck is already leveled. Don't squat it. You're not a child.

But ever 1in of spacers up front gives you 2in of lift. So no don't buy another kit to add to that.

Spacers are a 1:2 system on most trucks. Meaning a 1" spacer will give you 2" of lift, a 3/4" spacer would give you a 1.5" lift, and so on. As Mike said above, you are already levelled. You can get a 1/4" spacer for the top of the strut to give you another 1/2", but that is the max that anyone on here would recommend. 2.5" in the front is the max you'd want to lift, any higher and you'll start to really strain and wear out your suspension components. As for the squat, I can't recommend anything for that as IMO is looks stupid.

I am new to this site, I have a 2015 Silverado. I am looking to put a leveling kit on my truck. It looks like most people get the rough country leveling kit, but have read that the front bottom spacer is plastic and made in China. I haven't read much about Motofab, but what I have read is that they are of better quality than the Rough Country, cheaper, and made in the USA(Which is a big plus for me). I have also called a custom shop and they said that they won't use Rough Country because they cut corners(although there could be some bias there).

So, I guess my question is, would I be better off going with Motofab, or another brand over Rough Country? I have been looking at the Rough Country 2.5"($150), or the Motofab 3" front, and 2" rear($125).

Any feedback will help, thank you.

HI guys. New guy here. I've been reading extensively on this also. I have a 2017 Sierra All Terrain X. Rear height 39-3/4" front height at 36-3/8". So a difference of 3-3/8". I am looking to just level at this point. Would the 2-12" spacers get me pretty close? I guess, are 2-1/2" spacers pretty good estimate on actual height increase? I'm ok with just s little rake so with a load or pulling the negative rake is not too bad. Also, thinking not to exceed the 2-1/2" increase so as to not put toobad an angle on the cv's. Thoughts? Thanks!

My 2017 leveled on factory 20x9's with 285/55/20 BFG KO2's. Went up a total of just under 2.5 inches, the kit is from ProRyde, and the truck sits nice right now.

2014 Silverado Ltz 6.2 with moto fab 2.5 upper spacer and 2 inch rough country blocks on factory 2013 18s with 1/4 inch wheel spacers wrapped in 285/75r18 trail grapplers
that looks absolutely awesome...I assume you have a good bit of rubbing though?
