Opinions/advice on my idea for multiple lifts?

I have a 2001 Silverado 1500 4x4, it's already lifted with 6 inch RC suspension lift and has 35s on it. I'm planning to add a 3 inch body lift as well. But my question is, what are your thoughts on if I were to add a 1-2 inch torsion key lift as well and add Add-a-Leafs to the back? Would this work well or at least decently? Any advice on things I could do to make this work? I would replace torsion bars before doing the torsion key lift too.

Generally stacking lifts is not a good idea.

If your front end angles are perfectly flat, which I sort of doubt they are with the RC 6" then you could get away with cranking the torsion bars for maybe another inch.

The right way to do it is to get a kit that is the height you want. You just need to make sure its quality and will retain good suspension geometry.

Adding the 3 inch body lift will really have no ill effects other than the gap that will be left above the frame at the rear and you will need to make sure the kit comes with brackets to relocate the bumpers. Also, with the Body Lift, you will not be able to tow from the bumper, you will need a receiver type hitch if you do not have one already. The great thing about the body lift is you get height without sacrificing the ride quality like you would by cranking the torsion bars.

yeah with the rc 6 you could crank the keys about an inch but wouldn't recommend.. got some pictures of this rig? what size tires and rims will you be running?

Just so you know, you already have them like that... The RCX lift is effectively about a 4.5" kit, then to get to 6", you have to use their keys and crank on them...so basically, they define a 6" lift as a 4.5" actual lift with proper drop, and then a torsion bar cranking to get the extra 1.5-2.5", totaling about 6".

A 3" body lift if also going to make it look "skinny" tall, meaning too high of a body, and a likely ugly gap all around.

If you want to run bigger tires/offset, you really should get a full drop lift kit. I believe Fabtech, CTS, FTS, are a few that offer them. RCX, BDS, Zone, Pro-Comp, etc...all use the same type of design.

i think with the 20x10 -24 and 37s it might not look too skinny.. but i almost suggested another lift as well but most I am seeing are pretty pricey
