Parking brake light on dash dimly lit at all times

I was leaving work a few hours ago and right before I started my truck I noticed the brake light in the cluster looked like it was very dimly illuminated. It went full brightness when I started the truck, like normal, then when it would normally turn back off, it stayed dimly lit. Like I'm talking very dim. I probably wouldnt even be able to see it in the day time. It still comes on brightly when I set the parking brake, so the bulb should be fine. It also STAYS ON once I turn the truck off. I got home and let it sit for about an hour, and went check it, and its still on after the truck has been off for a while.

So is there a ground I need to check somewhere or something? I'm about to start my V8 swap in my Miata and it will be down for some time, so I need my truck to not crap out on me.

Truck is a 2007 Silverado Classic with the 4.8L with drums on the rear.

Ill check the reservoir fluid level sensor tomorrow. I have had it come on for that before, but it came on at normal brightness.

Ive pulled clusters out of these trucks a few times to resolder new stepper motors on the gauges, so I now how quickly they can be pulled out. But I dont remember if they have screw in bulbs or some hard wired LEDs. Ill pull the cluster to check for any loose connections or corrosion as well.

...6 year old thread and AnonymousD hasn't logged onto the site in more than 3 years. You aren't going to get a response from that user.

You might look through the wiring diagrams and diagnostic procedures on charm.li for your truck.
