Power Folding Mirror Trouble

My Passenger side mirror did not unfold at first today. After several more attempts it did fold out and back in hesitantly. Later on I tried folding the mirrors in and now the passenger mirror seems like it is jammed or whatever, maybe the plastic gear is broke off enough to jam? So the mirror will in fact try to move inward and outwards but only by a fraction of an inch in either direction. I would like the least expensive fix so if it's the plastic gear then that would be cheapest. I am saying it's the gear but it's a guess only. I watched some videos. Anyone with the same issue find what causes this problem and how did you go about repairing it? What's the most likely part that needs to be replaced? How can I determine what the problem is. If I take it apart then I can't drive it.

no it does not. It has life because it has the slightest movement like hardly moving though. That plastic gear looks like one's I have seen in toys and such. Would probably work. But no it does not make any ratchet sound. If I know the problem I could fix it, but it would take some effort.as is the the process of learning what is happened to my folding mirror.

First off, I have been more informed on the cause and parts needed. That part was told to me to be a motor/gear combination. I have a 09 Silverado and its the passenger side folding mirror giving me the issue. Do you know a couple places /part order numbers, or an alternative method (meaning I don't mind putting in a lower cost plastic part ,after all,I did get 7 years out of the original) Thanks for any and all information whenever anyone is able to provide it. Thanks

Electric folding mirror folds and unfolds but gets hung up when it opens. Opens fully. Wonder if water got in there when using washing it with an electric car power washer. Never had a problem before that.
