New here! 1st post.
on my 2015 2500, the auto up feature on the driver's window works, but as soon as the window reached the top, it instantly goes all the way back down. I have to hold the switch up and keep holding it for a second or so after it reaches the top. I do not have in channel vent visors, just the stick on ones. there is no apparent obstruction in the window channels, and it goes up at the same rate as the passenger window? Any help is appreciated.

First off, Welcome!

I'd have to go sit in my truck, but through the 8.1" screens you can reset the position that the window stops at. Otherwise, pull the negative off the battery for about 10 minutes, put it back on, start your truck. It will prompt you to roll the drivers window down, then all the way back up. See if that resolves it.

I have a major problem, i own a 2012 1500 silverado 6.2, i was doing some add on wiring for lights and as i was pulling new wires through firewall it had grabbed one of the already existing wires that i had taped up which went to a switch and pull it under the dash causing it to spark and pop and all kinds of shit cab started smoking eng compartment started so i reached and started jerking wires from batter, come to find out it was a hot to the horn i installed pulled back through dash, but anyways i heard a pop from the interior fuse box and now none of my windows roll up or down, there is lights on the door switch and the locks work but no windows on all 4 doors, i figured it was the lt dr circuit but not sure how to fix it.

Sorry I stand corrected. The menu option I though I saw in the menu won't reset the drivers side window position. Was related to the remote window operation.

Talked with a close friend of mine, do this as I mentioned earlier:

1) Take a 10mm socket and remove the negative cable from the battery.
2) Take your favorite cold drink and open it, and enjoy. This is also a good time to have a smoke if your the smoking kind. Wait about 10 minutes. Pace yourself accordingly!
3) Re attached the negative cable to the battery and tighten it down (the tightening part is important, your results may vary otherwise!)
4) Turn your key to the "ON" position but don't start the motor
5) observe the message in the information center between your cluster gauges, it will instruct you to roll the window down then roll the window the whole way back up.

IF that doesn't work, he said there is a different re-learn process that's handled through GDS 2 (the GM software) that will resolve your issue. Dealer shouldn't charge you for it as it's under warranty. Hope this helps!

As for the thread hijacker, start your own thread - your issue while it sucks, isn't related to this issue. That's why we have different threads!
