Yes it only has 16,000 miles and they contacted tech support and no luck. Just did not want to keep going to other dealerships. I want it fixed.

 

I have a 2023 Silverado Z71 that also has this radio issue of the radio going silent as if you hit the mute. The only solution I have found is to turn the truck off & wait for an undetermined amount of time to get it to work again on a restart. I 1st thought my iPhone was muting it if I got a call or text, so I disconnected the phone from communicating with the truck. It still is happening.???? No pattern. Intermittent occurrences.

 

There is no dealer fix for this issue. To reboot the radio-hold "end call" button for 18 seconds-radio will reboot itself and be fixed-until it isn't.
It's a software issue-supposedly a google issue and a software fix needs to be written. Have heard by end of this year.

 

I have been doing the hold end call but that is a temporary fix and it starts up again going quiet. I also have put it on safe mode. Just frustrating to think they have not been able to get a fix for this yet.

 

You have to have a google account and be signed into it for it to stop.

My radio stops playing. Regardless of if it is on radio, xm, or CarPlay. Turn volume all the way up nothing. Next time I get in it works fine. Started the first week after I bought it, I’m at dealership now having them check for updates. It has happened 3 times since I bought it a month ago. , I took a video of it when it happened and sent to dealership so they could see it happening. Will post when fixed with additional info/ resolution.

 

No resolution, they are aware of the issue. Also says” some customers may comment that they intermittently have no audio, turn signal click clack, or warning audio”

I have a 2024 Silverado. Bought it in Dec '23. Been having radio and sometime Mao issues since day one. They have updated the program and replaced the Amplifier. No Change. It is now up to Chevy Engineers, and I have been waiting.

 

24 Silverado with Technology package, purchased April 20th. 5th time in now, they are replacing amplifier (1st time they have replaced anything, just firmware/software update up to now, that have not fixed anything) will post back once I know if it is fixed.

 

I had the same issue. The dealer replace an amplifier and it has worked ever since. I hope this helps

 

Is the issue still resolved or has it returned? I've had MY silverado in 4 times since i purchased April, 20, 2024, still having the same issues, actually noticed that sometime the speed limit doesn't display on my dash or HUD Normal roads and long drive. If it is the Bose amplifier, I want it replaced.

 

One of the various updates fixed the issues and I no longer have a problem.

I was looking into this issue and found a bit of info leading to the software being the main culprit as to the audio issue. Ultimately, if the issue remains after updating the software, then they suggest replacing the amplifier altogether.

Same thing is happening with mine.. I had a 2022 sierra lease. Now I have the 2025 and it's happening again!

 

The dealership did do an update which temporarily stopped the issue. But I store the vehicle during summer months. And it started happening again in 2024. But after I used it in winter months it started again. But after I stored it again this year I had an update and no issue.
