Sorry for the long video but here is the possible solution to the problem that I noticed a few of us having.

Ever wonder why your stereo stays on after you open your driver door, and you have to open and close another door to shut the radio off?? Well your answer is here.

Again, sorry for the long video, 9:02mins, but it is very detailed and covers every thing you need to know. Enjoy!!

I have not replaced mine yet. I did have that issue before I had my viper alarm installed. the installer said he did something to the electrical system when he was in there and it fixed the problem.

I have an 08 with the same problem, before watching this video I ran an 18 gauge wire from actuator connector to DDM pin in the truck, it started working just fine and all the lights went out but I tried it today and the same pin to pin contact I had tried the day before now did nothing. Lights stayed on and radio was still functional even with the door open. I found out that with the key on the radio starts buzzing and the headlights turn on the key switch doesnt shut off the IPC, well whenever that buzzing stops and the headlights turn off the IPC can be shutoff with a flick off the key on the ignition switch. At this point im not sure where to go I have traced every damn wire on the harness and there were 2 broken wires, which I soldered back together and nothing changed. When it was all said and done the mirror controls didn't work either, and I have a TPMS light for all 4 tires on IPC, I replaced sensors, and the truck doesn't take a relearn for some reason. I am unsure if these electrical issues are tied together at all but I'm not a parts thrower I would like to diagnose more stuff. Hooking up the old actuator and even putting it back into the door still doesn't fix anything, this proves the theory of maybe getting shitty parts, the actuator was replaced before this issue occurred and no change is made between the two, in or out of the door.
