On my 2013 1500 the wire is green. I tapped into it in the back.

Is your Truck an NNBS truck or OBS? If it is NNBS, you can tap the reverse wire from the MBEC under the dash to the left of the brake pedal.

 

my truck is a 2015 silverado 2500hd should it be about the same?

 

I am not sure if they are the same. I am sure they still have that MBEC box, but the wiring could be different.

I tapped into mine at the fuse box.

 

are u running a wireless camera? usually you tap into the reverse light on the camera end and then the vid cable has a trigger wire in it that will activate the screen.

 

not wireless it has the power and trigger wire for the camera off of the mirror itself and a 4 pin cable that runs to the camera

There are a couple of videos for installing a camera depending on if the truck is pre-wired or not...and what radio unit you have.

 

Reverse light wire is in the BCM under driver dash, brown plug, pin 26, blue/brown.
